Salty is an older diesel engine who loves to tell tales of the sea. He will occasionally work in the quarry and other areas on the Island, but is happiest down by the docks.

Trivia[]
- The first 2002 prototype Salty features eight wheels, pink stripes on the sides instead of orange, a gray bufferbeam and footplate, blue windows, a lower body and a longer dome.
- The second 2002 prototype features a black bufferbeam and footplate, backwards stripes, a lower body and a longer dome.
- Salty is not featured in the 2002 or 2004 pamphlets, however, he is featured in the 2002 and 2004 yearbooks. This also happened with Harvey.
- Salty is not featured in the 2010 yearbook.
