Despite being available to purchase during the Summer quarter of 2008, Learning Curve counts Stanley, as well as Duke and Mud Covered Thomas as 2009 products.
A 2008 Wooden Railway Stanley was featured in a viral video in 2012 called "A Toy Train in Space" in which it was sent into space.
A prototype 2018 Stanley features a black smokebox.
